Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP) is a pioneer organization of periodontists in India with over 1,000 life members and an equal number of associate members. Thus, the society reaches out to the entire population of periodontists in India.
The Governing Body
It consists of President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor of the Journal, Assistant Editor, Joint Secretary as the office-bearers and 35 Executive Committee members who are duly elected in the Annual General Body Meeting of the Society.

Activities
- Oral Hygiene day is celebrated on August 1st to commemorate the birthday of late Dr. G.B. Shankwalkar , an eminent and pioneer periodontist of India.
- Essay competition is conducted by our Society in different categories at National level.
- Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology is being published which caters to the scientific needs of the Society.
